We can love one another because he first loved us!
I love Valentines day!
Valentine’s day is one of my most favorite days of the year.
1) I love pink. 2) I love chocolate. 3) I love love!
We love because he first loved us
1 John 4:19 speaks to the heart of true friendship and shares with us the source of our love. This verse is a great reminder of the foundation of true love and how it shapes our relationships.
We love because he first loved us.
Not only does God love us, but He IS love! 1 John 4:8 reminds us that God is love, and in that love He sent Jesus
we are called to love God
Because God is love and first loved us, we have the capacity to love Him in return. In fact, we are commanded to love Him. But not just love Him . . . to love Him with all our soul and mind, with everything we have and are! That is a BIG love.
Jesus replied, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment."

God showed us his love by sending His son Jesus to demonstrate exactly what THE love looks like in action. We are commanded to love others!
"And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
We can love our neighbors, our co-workers, and even those who may not love us. When we understand the depth of God’s love for us, it changes everything.
Let's put our love in action
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the love of God and its impact on our friendships. Let’s think about all the ways we have shown love and kindness to our friends and how we can continue to do so in the future.
So today, on this day focused on LOVE, make the call, send the text, share a hug, mail the card, say a prayer — reach out to those you love and remind them of all the ways you are grateful for their friendship. Let’s make sure that the love of God shines through all our interactions today and every day.
