014 Series Introduction: Teaching Names of the Holy Spirit

Thanks for tuning in! This is my first official teaching series. Over the next few weeks, we’ll dive into a journey of learning about the Holy Spirit as our teacher.

In this first episode, I share a bit of my own background as a learner and a teacher and part of what prompted me to begin a journey to dig deep into the word. The Holy Spirit has been my teacher throughout this blessed journey, and He is ready to guide you as well!

In each upcoming episode of this series, we will dig into the scripture to learn more about each teaching name of the Holy Spirit.

The teaching names of the Holy Spirit are more than identifiers of His characteristics. These names indicate the process of a work that he does in us and indicates a journey that he takes us on.

Teaching Names of the Holy Spirit (Towns, 1994): 

1. Spirit of Anointing – He removes spiritual blindness
2. Spirit of Revelation – He reveals spiritual truth
3. Spirit of Truth – He communicates the content of truth
4. Spirit of Knowledge – He gives us knowledge about God and Jesus
5. Spirit of a Sound Mind – He takes away fear and enables rational thought
6. Spirit of Understanding – He helps us understand truths
7. Spirit of Wisdom – He helps us apply the truths
